Well just over an hour ago The High Wire released the second single, The Midnight Bell, from their upcoming album The Sleep Tape (release scheduled for March 8th) and of course I just had to buy the remix that came with it. Although i'm not much of a fan of remixes I decided that 99 cents would be well spent in order to support this amazing band. About a month ago I had picked up the remix of Odds & Evens in order to ensure I had a complete collection by the time the full-length was released. Little had I known at that time that back in '08 The High Wire had released an EP titled Ahead Of The Rain.Of COURSE I had to look more into this and I happened to run across the Rope Walking CDS that included, YES, a b-side that is titled All The Simple Things.
Unfortunately I haven't come across the cover art for the single but I tend to tack b-sides onto the end of the album anyway. So now I have gathered all these tracks up and i'm going to share them with whomever reads this blog. I'm pretty sure most of you just skip over all this rambling anyway and head straight for the links...but maybe a few find the info helpful.Well the remixes are both encoded at 256kbps mp3 since I had bought them off iTunes. All The Simple Things is 211kbps VBR.
Odds & Evens (Twins Remix)
