Today I have some Coheed & Cambria goodies for you guys. On Tuesday Year Of The Black Rainbow will be released but for those of us who pre-ordered it...we got it today...or soon. In case you didn't pay attention there was a deluxe edition release that included 2 demo tracks. This is the first time since the re-issue of The Second Stage Turbine Blade that some sort of bonus track has been included with the album (unless you count some live tracks.) Now these tracks are classified as demos, and you will hear it. There is very little polish added to these songs but they still sound pretty good to me. I'm just happy I didn't have to wait until Tuesday for a quality rip of these tracks. Now all that remains is that iTunes exclusive track...which will arrive Tuesday. I promise :DI figured instead of just rambling about a whole load of nothing all the time that I should probably describe the tracks themselves. The first track, Chamberlain (Demo), is a solid rock track clocking in at 4:21. It continues in the style of Year Of The Black Rainbow, specifically the track Guns Of Summer. The second bonus track is The Lost Shepard (Demo). Now after giving this track a couple listens I felt it could have been placed in the album somewhere. The song builds up with a solid chorus and concludes with a bit of guitar play and fades out from there. It was more enjoyable than some of the songs that appear on Year Of The Black Rainbow. Perhaps it is the best way to conclude the deluxe edition...
The songs are 256kbps mp3.
